I cannot believe what mlb did to the blackout games. The most important day for Dodger fans who's not in L.A. and they blacked it out? I dont understand the logic behind it. Because they are showing it on Fox ? What is our alternative? Why penalize the fans? Isnt that the bulk of their business with this mlb tv? Its for the transplants who wants to watch their team away from home!

I just grilled some BBQ Chicken and Baby Back Ribs, and the wife made some great potato salad. Washing it down with a cold beer. What a way to cap off a great Dodger win!

I decided to follow the game on gamecast and read the blog. I did peek but did not post to not jinx the team. I'll check out the condensed game later on tho.
I have nothing going tonight. Im going to celebrate. But I want the Division not the Wild Card. So I'm still gonna keep an eye on the minipads game tomorrow and ours. Im gonna run to the video store to check out some flicks for tonight. This are my choices:

I don't even mess around with Gameday because of their own blackout policy. I just have the MLB package and the MLB audio package. If it's not on the MLB package then I bite the bullet and listen to it on the radio. Baseball needs to fix this mess because the other sports don't have that problem.

It has been the tradition (since they've gone to the current playoff format) to have no more than 3 games a day if possible. So, as it works, 3 games are played on Tuesday and then one of those series gets Wednesday off. They do kind of the same thing on Opening Day a lot of times; where a team will get the Opening day spotlight and then take the next day off so that the other Opening Day games the next day are not as diluted. So a 3-game Opening series takes 4 days to play.

With the way we are banged up, the extra day might do us good--Maddox would already be pitching on extra-short rest, so it'd probably be good for us. Of course, the downside is that we've got the big MO on our side right now and I'd hate to lose the magic with too much time off over the next 4 days. But, these are the problems you love to have this time of year--I'm sure the Phillies are wishing that they had these concerns right now--so sorry.

Im sorry, but as i've mentioned I was gonna watch a dvd tonight along with some booze to celebrate the Dodgers' victory. I watched Brotherhood of the Wolf(excellent movie btw), its foreign and its different. I think it was 3 hrs long but anywho....here's what I'm getting. I was gonna watch the replay of today's game and it was available. However, I think some of those computer guys are off for the weekend, so there are some problems. But, when I logon, I get this message:

They just dont want us transplants to enjoy our clincher. But hey! Maybe we'll get to see our team win the division tomorrow for sure since there's no national coverage from Fox!

ah, it gets better. The video download does not play on OS X. Or as MLB puts it (letting me know only after i paid for it, of course): "Macintosh OS does not currently support MLB.com Digital Downloads" Ahem, yeah, operating systems should really be written to accommodate the paranoid DRM B.S. that MLB dreams up, not the other way around - no way! I'm getting really pissed about this.
