Live Blog Tonight... But With a Possible Asterisk

Hey y'all.  In maintaining what appears to be a winning formula, I'll be keeping the live blog flames burning this evening.  However, we received an email from the site that houses Blue Notes stating that it will be down for scheduled maintenance from 1am-5am ET (10-2 PT).  What they're specifically fixing, I have no idea.  But unfortunately, that means that I not only won't be able to do a post-game report (because I can't start a new thread), I also won't be able to post the comments being left during those hours because it'll be impossible for me to access the area where that happens.  Thus, if the game's still happening during the hours (a real possibility), the live blog will cease to continue updating.

This is terribly inconvenient and annoying, but unfortunately, there's absolutely nothing BK or I can do about it.  But we'll have the live blog for as long as we can (unless you guys think an incomplete live blog will somehow mess up the energy).  And who knows, maybe when the site has finished its tuneup, the blog will be better, faster and stronger.  Just like The Six Million Dollar Man.  Which would make me the 21st Century Lee Majors.  BK, however, remains decidedly un-bionic.

nice! 9 in a row baby!

AK- THANKS FOR KEEPING THE "LIVE BLOG FLAME" ALIVE.
THE SITE SHUT DOWN SOUNDS LIKE A COMMIE PLOT BUT
BY 10 O'CLOCK IT WILL BE TOO LATE. WE WILL HAVE SECURED OUR VICTORY.

AK, do you what you need to do ... we appreciate the live blog.
if the game goes later than 1am eastern, we'll simply crash the diamondbacks blog and finish up our party there.

Phillies won again. Every year there's a team out of the NL Central or East that gets extremely hot. First the Marlins, last year it was the Astros. Now its the Phillies. It's always from out of nowhere. I thought Philly conceded already that they started moving players and prepare for next year.
If this pattern continues next year, that means the next one is going to be from our division. From East to Central to West, right?

Thanks, AK!! Damn technology, first it brings us together and then it tears us apart. Hopefully by then we'll have a good solid lead! GO BLUE!

Nothing like a little "Good Luck Pancho" before the game. . .

AK,

The Blue Notes Blog will shut down at 10pm? Becuase TypePad needs to do "Maintenance?"

TypePad's offices are in SanFran, and probably employs 90% Giants fans. Coincidence?? I smell a conspriracy, and think that Giants fans are trying to screw with our mojo here!

Also, I'd like to wish Jim McQueen. . .I mean Jim Tracy all the best of luck at the Litter Box tonight:

GO DODGERS!

typepad maintance??!!! commie giant-fan bastages!!

Well, AK/BK....we need you to get them to Brox so that is 7/8 innings so they do not need to call on the Bombko/Hamugak tandem. If you can pace yerselves and get to Sammytime then you are indeed the bloggawds we "know" you are...

hmmmm...perhaps someone can setup a "relief blog" on one of their servers? I can try and get one up and running but am not certain I will be able to do it in time for the outtage...maybe if a couple of us work on it we can do it...i've never setup typepad and it might need access to the TP member tables...a developer I know wrote a pretty simple blog package I think I can use in relief...
