Trivia Answer
Last week, I posed the following question to the Blue Notes Nation:
"Going around the diamond, name the Dodgers career home run leader by position.
C, P, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF. For example (freebie alert!), Ron Cey leads all Dodgers 3Bs with the 228 dingers of his career hit while manning the hot corner. OK, not literally while manning the hot corner, because that would be impossible, but you get the point."
Nobody managed to get all nine, but then again, nobody should be expected to answer a nine-part question, anyway. Here are your positional home run kings:
P- Don Drysdale, 28
C -Roy Campanella, 239
1B - Gil Hodges, 326
2B - Davey Lopes, 98
3B - Ron Cey, 228
SS- Pee Wee Reese, 122
LF - Dusty Baker, 139
CF- Duke Snider, 355
RF- Carl Furillo, 175
Thanks to all who played.

Those 70's dodger teams were very good. Unfortunatley, they only won the '81 world series.

Great split in NY.
A big bow to the NYFD and all who helped on this horrible day five years ago. Those guys are hitting home runs EVERY day. My prayers are with those who lost friends and family that day. May God bless them and guide them.
