Baseball's New Slogan: 12 Years and Counting Without a Strike!
Good news for anybody who feels that, while 1994 was a great year for film ("Pulp Fiction," "The Shawshank Redemption," "Ed Wood," "Quiz Show," "Speed," "Forrest Gump," "Hoop Dreams," among others), it was a decidedly lousy year for baseball. But in rather under the radar fashion, Bud Selig has orchestrated an agreement between players and owners that, save 11th hour complications, should keep things humming until 2011. And ahead of schedule, no less. If such positivity remains possible in baseball, maybe there's still hope Ned Colletti and Odalis Perez can mend fences for a return stint in L.A.
OK, there are limits to the trickledown effects of peace accords. But either way, nice to see a potential mess avoided for the time being.

Nice to see the owners and players decided to feed the golden goose this time, rather than barbecue it.

It is nice to see baseball do something right for a change, but on the heels of Kenny Rogers and the 'dirt' on his left hand, it seems like Bud Selig can't seem to get two things right in a row.
I don't know if Rogers cheated and I'm not saying he did, but I'm disappointed that no one in baseball is making a big fuss about something that could potentially undermine the credibility of this World Series. Are they trying to hide something?

Makoto,
Rogersgate has kindled interest in a World Series that only a surprisingly small number of people had. Outside of Deeeeetroit and St. Louis (plus AK & BK)few really care much about the WS. Football has pushed it aside.
Secondly, Tony the Genius didn't make much of an issue because his pitchers do the same thing. Another baseball code of silence.

Dodgerdog-
I didn't think of it that way. Although if Jason Marquis is cheating, I'd hate to see how he do if he didn't. hahaha.

Sounds like some people are second guessing La Russa from within his staff. Usually doesn't bode well for the whole series.
