Actually, I am looking forward to the Princess signing her contract with the Red Sox. Then, during the obligatory hand-shaking photos, she'll re-injure that tender shoulder and have to go on the DL.
It will be funny when the princess is just being the princess and the BoSucks fans are complaining about her and that incredibly stupid contract they are stuck with.
wow, didn't know you knew LoDuca on that level... :D hehehehe...sorry dude that was too much of a beachball not to hit...
Otherwise:
With Franco still dead attention turns to JD Drew....who, after 7-weeks is still not signed...
Wonder if this is why Colletti did not pursure the tampering, he knew...he really knew the Princess was damaged goods and past her prime. Might also be why they could never trade her, she was not "intact"...
The great thing is that not only Drew, but NONE of San Francisco's free agents have officially finalized their contracts, and word on the street is that the Giants may no longer be interested in making the Bonds deal work. Funny thing is, the agents are wary of the 'Bonds-jail-and/or-court-time-clause' that the Giants have slipped into every contract they offered this season. I'm sure both Boston and San Francisco will get something done in the end, but it's getting pretty close to crunch time.l
JD. Drew: The Princess. I am willing to bet he/she will be on the DL 2-3 times during the year. My God, he is NOW on the DL, Theo would be wise to find someone else. Theo could end up on the DL (discipline list) for GMs. The fans will be wondering where and who couldn't forseen the Princess's problem. Remember, he wanted 10mi. from the Phillies before he even put on their uniform.
Andrew (right) and Brian Kamenetzky are hosts of the LA Times Lakers Blog, and contributing writers to ESPN The Magazine and ESPN.com. Additionally, they co-authored Fishing on the Edge, the autobiography of Mike Iaconelli, the bad boy of bass fishing and 2003 Bassmaster Classic champion. They grew up in St. Louis as Cardinals fans, but it doesn't impair their ability to Think Blue. After all, the Cards and Dodgers aren't even in the same division.
I hope Theo Epstein lost the receipt. I wouldn't want the Dodgers to have to take him back.

I am willing to bet $10 and a broken screw driver that the whole thing is a tactic to deflect attention from the whole tampering thing. Really....
As they say "...just because I am paranoid does not me THEY really aren't out to get me..."

I wish (and I can only wish) that Drew ends up with less than the 33 mil he gave up. How sweet would that be?
What a victory for all the hard working stiffs out there who have to earn a living wage... HAHA!

I love the part of the referenced article where the anti-Christ, "I don't talk about those things."
When has he ever not been willing to talk? Only, I suppose, when it might cast his player in an unfavorable light. Otherwise, he's a motor mouth.

Anybody here believe in karma?

It would poetic justice for us and smart business for Boston to not sign Drew.
I hope he ends up like Jody Reed.
Ungrateful bum.

Santa Monica, karma for sure.

Maybe we should send him an incentive laden contract for one year at $500,000. Just to show we care

LMAO @ Dodgerdog..!!!!!

Oh, oh! The Giants may have just sewed up the World Series. They signed Russ Ortiz.
Wasn't Russ the guy who set the record for the largest baseball contract ever eaten ($22 million by the Snakes) when they cut him?
Between the AARP Giants and the financially ridiculous D-Backs (Ortiz contract AND Randy Johnson fiasco), the Dodgers look pretty good.

geeze...I just cannot bring myself to make the obvious Ben-gay jokes about the Than-fran-thithhh-co giants...it would be in-th-en-thitive...
g'nite and have a pleasant tomorrow...

Wonder if Drew can make it in the Mexican Leagues?
