Who Do You Feel Worse For?
Tommy Lasorda, if these accusations are patently false? Or the... um, employees in question, if he was indeed a customer?
Well, the truth will hopefully reveal itself soon enough. And I'm telling you right now. If it turns out Jody "Babydol" Gibson's accusations aren't true (although really, if an ex-con madam nicknamed "Babydol" with one "L" isn't a credible source, who is?), I'm suing the hell outta this chick for causing my brain to picture one of the least appealing visuals of all time, even if just for a fleeting second. I am beyond damaged. She better have some deep prostitution-cash pockets (or make a boatload in royalties, now that she's a respected author) because this lady is getting taken to the cleaners.
In the category of "people who don't give a rat's ass about being named in this book," I give you, ex-Sex Pistol Steve Jones. My guess is he'll sleep easy. And does anyone else think it's odd that this story managed to break without Charlie Sheen's name being mentioned once?

Awwwh, give the old guy a break. It's Tommy! What's done is done.

Mike T,
Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm not judging at all. What happens between 2 consenting adults is their business (if anything happened at all, which has yet to be proved by any stretch). No matter what the truth is, Lasorda certainly doesn't have to explain himself to me.
But still, you can't deny the "ugh" factor. haha

I agree with TJ Simers opinion that Tommy would be better served by just ignoring this whole thing and letting the buzz just fade away with time than by having his attorney make vehement denials.
Personally, I'll take Tommy's word for it until proven otherwise.
And if it turns out Babydol is telling the truth, Tommy will have some answering to do with Mrs. Lasorda, but as far as Dodger Nation is concerned, I don't think it will have much of an impact on his status as Dodger royalty.

Len,
I would agree. To be honest, unless you're a Dodger fan, the mention of Ladsorda's name doesn't automatically grab one's attention anymore. The story has barely made local outlets, much less national. And I doubt this book is destined to become a huge best-seller. Had he chosen to shrug it off, it would be forgotten much more quickly.

Hey BK/AK!!
I would say I missed you both but truth is I keep an eye on both of you at the Laker blog also, I just refrain from commenting becuz those Laker fans are VICIOUS.
back to the topic....
I think Tommy has absolutely nothing to worry about. I am allllll for juicy gossip, but this story falls short to the Anna Nicole/Britany Spears/Kate Moss type of news. Derek Lowe's wife/exwife/girlfriend gossip was wayyyy more interesting than this!... Sounds like im disappointed? I am. Told ya I love the gossip.

Simers hinted at it in his article... I'm very skeptical of the whole thing because I'd bet Tommy likes his women like he likes his lunch... hot and FREE.

all I want to know is what did "they" do with TJ Simers and where are "their" pods?
I mean good gawd Simers a company guy? Has the world stopped spinning?

The worst thing is I'm getting a mental picture of Tommy playing hide the salami and it's not pretty!

If it is true, I hope no one asks the prostitute what her opinion was of his performance! :)

This will die down quickly. It is hardly the first "tell all" diary and won't be the last.
At least it will give the fans in 'Frisco (I know they hate that) something to chant when the Dodgers are in town. Their "Beat LA" is fun, actually, but when you don't win very often, it kind of loses its punch.

Dodgerdog,
How I hate that "Beat LA" chant. Just hate it! Not because it is an anti-LA chant, but just because it is so, well, lame.
Why don't us Dodger fans return the favor this season with something equally lame and annoying --"Beat The Bay"?

I wonder if Tommy had to give her a pep talk before the deed.
Also when I'm watching the Dodgers at opposing ballpark, I usually chant USA when they begin the Beat LA chant. it gives me something to do, & prevents me from getting beat up.
