Bring on dem Friars

Big, big, big, big, big, biiiiiiig series going tonight.  Gi-the-hell-normous.  The kind where folks gotta step up and account for themselves.  You got your David Wells taking his second start for the Blue locked in a head to head against Jack Cassel, who's making his second big-league appearance.  Or locked in a head to head against Wil Ledezema, who's tossed a little more on the grand stage.  But no matter which counterpart emerges, if you're looking to get a sense of how big these next three games are for the Dodgers, don't search for clues all over the face of David Wells.  Dude's just not a worry wart.  The lack of stress shouldn't be construed as indifference toward a squad he used to despise.  It's just that he tends to keep it loose before going into battle (and a pokerstars.com cap on his shaved dome).   Of course, if you're one of five dudes on a roster with a World Series ring -- a fishy Brad Penny and Juan Pierre also know the secret handshake --  you've earned the right to get battle-ready any way you damn well please.

Hey Grady moron Little,

Lets bench Matt Kemp tonight and/or Andre Eithier.........Ya ya I know its late in the season and we need to win games and were about to play the Padres............but come on...............U need to play Gonzo........and u need to play Juan PIerre (Ok Pierre's doing good, but when he was doing bad u stilll played him almost everyday)........or u can bench James Loney.........or u can play James Loney..............And pinch hit for him later in the game

And if nothing else...........dont forget............u can always use Olmado in the lineup

freakin moron of a manager

They must win 2 out of 3 just to pick up 1 game in the standings.
That would be accomplished easier if they can win tonight.
The trend must be set.
Go Blue!

Just want a clarification on the roster spot issue.

A player only has to be on the 40-Man roster before Sept. 1 to be eligible for the postseason, right?

If the requirement were that only players on the 25-man roster before September could play in the postseason, that would leave out anyone on the 15 day DL and all September callups.

So, that being the case, there is no hurry to get Loaiza up to the majors anytime soon.

DODGER 1955

Let's jump on the bandwagon while we're winning!!!! But let's be prepared to jump off as soon as we start losing.

That's what fans are for!

Butch

I wish Aryan wouldn't hide his feelings! He's so reserved sometimes I just don't know how he feels about Grady.
