Fundamentals with the Bison and AE

A friend of mine sent me these, from the Interweb.  They're part of a series of baseball instructional video spoofs/promos for Easton called "Hardball Made Easy", featuring Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier.  Both very funny, especially the Kemp Klip.  Fun twist, too- I used to play ball with the guy who plays the "coach" in the sketches.

Here's the Ethier spot:

We just met...

Excuses are like poems. Gotta remember that one.

I was watching the Dodgers vs. Angels on FSNW when I couldn't take it anymore and I sent this off to FSNW: Hey! Who are those two jokers you have as 'sportscasters' on tonight's game between the Angels and my L.A. Dodgers?
They ARE NOT CALLING THE GAME. They are so into themselves and that other joker whom they invited into the booth to plug his radio show.
The broadcast sounds more like a talk show than a baseball game. My wife and I sat there in disbelief as they chatted on and like little old ladies sharing stories of their childhood memories of a game they once went to. Who cares?! Call the game for Pete's sake! The strike out count, and anything that happens on the field of play during the game are afterthoughts to these guys. Boy I sure am spoiled by the greatest there ever was...Vin Scully.
Get some guys that will call the game as we watch it unfold and forget about all the senseless 'color' BS.
Give me a break!
If I were blind and were only listening knowing there was a game going on I wouldn't know what inning it was, how many outs there are, who was hitting or how the batter swung....alas, a lost art. It seems more the norm these days....like in football: How many ex-jocks does it take to call a game? At last count it was 4...and that's just pre-game stuff.

off topic, but this is great...an ncaa tourney for the worst offseason signings/trades...in the elite 8 now. the angels torii hunter is the 4 seed. that was such an awful signing.

How many assists does Either now have this spring? The guy is a weapon in any OF position you put him in!

Not entirely related to this posting, but thought those of you who haven't read this would like this post from Tony Jackson's blog:

"I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. ... And no, I did NOT come to this conclusion after watching the left fielder foul out to left field to end the inning on a 1-0 pitch after the previous two hitters had just worked walks on a combined 13 pitches to load the bases, in the ninth inning of a 2-2 game, thus capping an 0-for-5 night for said left fielder. Nor did I come to this conclusion after watching Andre Ethier save the game by cutting down Brandon Wood at the plate to end the eighth inning. I actually came to this conclusion a few days ago. I just thought this would be the perfect occasion in which to finally deliver my long-overdue mea culpa. OK? Is everybody satisfied?"
