Hey kids! AK and BK can't make it but they'll be here to recap the craziness as soon as they can! In the meantime...let's discuss!

As a life long Bostonian, you will be lucky to have Manny for the stretch run. Open your wallets, it'll cost you 20M+ next year... well worth it since he will prey on NL pitchers.
A sad day for the Dodger organization, IMHO. Is Manny a great player? Yes! Is Manny a clown and a disgrace to MLB, and the once proud history of the Dodgers? Absolutely Yes!!
After attending about 25 games at the L.A. Coliseum, and a game of the 1959 World Series (@ 6 years old), and 300+ games at Dodger Stadium /Chavez Ravine over the years, including a playoff and a World Series game in 1988, I'm done with the Dodgers.
The Dodgers may well win the Pennant. They may win the World Series. Fred MCClown - you've sold the soul of the Dodgers for a lazy, self-centered, malcontent., disgrace to Baseball. I'll never step foot in the stadium as long as you are the owner.
AS A NEW ENGLANDER,IT'S A BITTERSWEET DAY. HE WAS HUGGABLE, GOOFY AND STILL PUT UP THE NUMBERS.
THEN HE SOCKS KEVIN YOUKILIS,ATTACKS JACK MCCORMICK(64 YR OLD SOX SCTY),AT THE YANKEES GAME, WOULDNT REMOVE THE BAT OFF HIS SHOULDER AGAINST MARIANO RIVERA, LIED ABOUT HIS KNEE.
THIS BASEBALL PLAYER,FOR ALL HIS TALENTS, IS NOT BIGGER THAN THE PURE GAME OF BASEBALL IAM SAD BUT RELIEVED. GOOD LUCK TO THE DODGERS

When Nomar says he wanted to stay in Boston the unstated subtext is "...if the Sox paid me what Jeter and A-Rod were getting paid and the $15 million a year for four years wasn't enough...besides I also wanted a signing bonus that they wouldn't pay me either...gee I was only barely getting by on the $11 million I was earning."
Now he earns $8.5 mil as a Dodger. He was a terrific, popular and valued player whose reach exceeded his grasp and ended up with half of what he would have gotten had he stayed put. It was HIS choice to turn DOWN a chance to resign with the Red Sox..
Andrew (right) and Brian Kamenetzky are hosts of the LA Times Lakers Blog, and contributing writers to ESPN The Magazine and ESPN.com. Additionally, they co-authored Fishing on the Edge, the autobiography of Mike Iaconelli, the bad boy of bass fishing and 2003 Bassmaster Classic champion. They grew up in St. Louis as Cardinals fans, but it doesn't impair their ability to Think Blue. After all, the Cards and Dodgers aren't even in the same division.

Nomar's reaction to the Manny trade is laighable.
