Some of you mentioned it after last night's game, but for those who missed Patrick O'Neal's postgame interview with Angel Berroa and "translator," Manny Ramirez, here you go.
BorAss will not let Manny take less than 100 mil for 4 years. And Manny has to pay BorAss out of that. He had 40 mil for 2 years already and that wasn't enough.
Manny is going to be EXPENSIVE!
But who know, maybe he'll take less per year for the extra years...
How long has it been since we've seen REAL humour from the Dodgers? When's the last time you remember seeing the boys in blue rippin' on the reporters? I LOVE IT!!!!!
More importantly, kambrothers, how about them Hooters girls in the "What's Hot" video section?
And before you ask what does that have to do with the Dodgers, I saw a couple of them wearing blue bikinis, so technically that qualifies for "Blue Notes - A Dodgers Blog" material.
Damn you, kambrothers! You finally got me onto evil MSN's videos for the first time, like, ever. (I, of course, am a Linux user so I avoid Microsoft products like the plague whenever possible.) Funny as hell. Even funnier than Angel's surprise for Manny was Berroa's response to the final question. "Who's that? Juan Pierre?" Damn I want to save that vid. Absolutely priceless/

Well, ....let's see....... Mickey Hatcher and the rest of the *Stuntmen* of 1988 come to mind.....
It's been awhile - time to do what that '88 team did!
Very Good LoLo...I also noticed the Hooter girl Videos ( both of them) and of course I immediately thought of the Dodgers and Blue Notes...Like thank god Kambro's put that link to the Berroa interview or I woud have missed these wonderful videos
It's official. I put down 2 grand to secure my 2009 tickets at 2008 prices!... and for tickets to the playoffs (if the Dodgers make it).... I fear I have just sunk our ship by again being sucked in to believing in the Dodgers.
I couldn't help getting sucked in to believing that this weekend will go well....NEWS of LIVE BLOG a-thon this weekend has me believing!... it's like throwing our ACE out there for 3 games straight!
I'll be at Disneyland all weekend and won't look at baseball for fear of riping my hair out if the Dodgers get sweeped.
A few questions: When is Ethier supposed to take some personal time off to attend to the birth of his new child, and is Juan Pierre healthy enough to step in? Would you all rather see Young in right, or Kemp slide over to right and have a guy like Repko in center when Ethier takes his short leave? Anyone notice that the dodgers' official site had maddux to face the big unit originally and is now reporting that it'll be kershaw?
And just another angle in the importance of this series- I'm hoping to ease the rising tension (although it seems palpable- here we all are 24 hours before the game blogging away..) :
I believe Arizona holds the 8-7 edge on us in the season series... We should all want to win 2 of 3 to gain some ground. But anyone worried about coming out on the short end of some tiebreaking method for the division should breathe easy... According to both MLB.com and Baseball Reference head to head doesn't apply here...
Scenario #2: If there is a tie for a Division Championship and the winning percentage of the two tied Clubs is lower than the winning percentage of the second-place Club with the best record among all non-Division winners in the same League, the tie for the Division Championship shall be broken as follows:
A one-game playoff shall be played on Monday, September 29 to determine the Division Championship. The site of the game would be determined by a coin flip and the winner of the game shall be declared the Division Champion. (ignore the date)
What's weird is that a coin flip decides the site of the game, which makes absolutely no sense to me- shouldnt the team with potentially the better head-to-head have it at home??
...I WOULD GIVE MY NEXT PAY CHECK TO SEE THE DODGERS TRADE THAT DAMN LOSER BEFORE HE RETIRES TO ANOTHER TEAM EVEN IF WE DONT GET ANYTHING IN RETURN. ...TRADE HIM TO THE GIANTS.
Andrew (right) and Brian Kamenetzky are hosts of the LA Times Lakers Blog, and contributing writers to ESPN The Magazine and ESPN.com. Additionally, they co-authored Fishing on the Edge, the autobiography of Mike Iaconelli, the bad boy of bass fishing and 2003 Bassmaster Classic champion. They grew up in St. Louis as Cardinals fans, but it doesn't impair their ability to Think Blue. After all, the Cards and Dodgers aren't even in the same division.
